ST. LOUIS – Bradley sophomore forward Jack Douglas (St. Louis, MO/Liberty H.S.) is the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Making the transition from Bradley's back line to the top of the team's attack, Douglas scored his second and third career goals Saturday night, leading the Braves to a come-from-behind, 4-3 win in double overtime at SIU Edwardsville. Douglas scored the equalizing goal in the 70th minute on a great individual effort, beating both his defender and the Cougars keeper to the ball, which had been cleared from Bradley's defensive third, and scored from 22 yards out.

He then earned his first career game-winner in the 108th minute when he calmly collected a rebound six yards in front of the net and popped it up for a side volley and the walk-off tally.

Douglas becomes the 22nd student-athlete in Bradley Soccer history to earn the MVC Offensive Player-of-the-Week honor and he is the second Brave recognized by the league office this season, following goalkeeper Bryce Logan, who was named MVC Defensive Player of the Week Aug. 31.

After playing four of its last six games on the road, Bradley will kick off campus Homecoming week by hosting Loyola Chicago Wednesday night at Shea Stadium. The Braves will conclude the quick, 2-game home stand Saturday by hosting Missouri State in a featured event during the University's Homecoming schedule.
