PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Men's Golf will play its first competitive fall rounds in nearly two years with the Braves opening the 2021-22 season Sunday and Monday in Bloomington, Ind., at the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational.

The Hoosier Collegiate Invitational will be held at the par-71 Pfau Golf Course on the Indiana University campus, with the teams teeing it up for an 8 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start for Sunday's opening two rounds.  Monday's final round will feature tee times starting at 7:30 a.m. (CDT).

Bradley is making its first trip to Bloomington, Ind., since April 2017 when the Braves took third of 14 teams at the Hoosier Invitational, which was held at the former Indiana University Golf Course.

The Hoosier Collegiate Invitational will provide an early glimpse of several Missouri Valley Conference opponents with Bradley one of five MVC teams in the 15-team field.  Joining the Braves in the season-opening event are Evansville, Illinois State, Loyola and Valparaiso.  A pair of Big 10 teams in Illinois and Indiana help make up a field which also includes Ball State, Butler, Cincinnati, IUPUI, Lipscomb, Memphis, Miami (OH) and North Alabama.

Bradley returns six of seven letterwinners from last year's team that continued to improve as the 2020-21 season progressed and capped the year with a sixth-place finish at the MVC Championship.

Junior Josh Kirkham had the lowest season stroke average among the returning Braves after posting a 75.86 stroke average last year.  Kirkham, who was among the team's top three finishers in five of six stroke play events last year, has placed among Bradley's top three individuals in 12 of 13 career outings.

Fellow junior John Stillman was limited to just five rounds last season, opening the 2020-21 season with a career-best round 72 in a dual at SIU Edwardsville and closed his sophomore campaign with a 78.80 average.

Roy Radke played in all but one tournament last year in his first season with the Braves, including each of the final three 54-hole events of the season in which he averaged 76.33 per round compared to his season average of 76.91 per round.

One of two seniors on the 2021-22 roster, Jalen Hodges was Bradley's top finisher in two events last year and ranked third on the team with a 75.93 stroke average in 2020-21.  Hodges tied for 22nd at the MVC Championship this past spring and shot 75 or better seven of his final 12 rounds.

Sophomore Brady Kreiter rounds out the Bradley lineup for the season opener after he posted a 77.67 stroke average over his final nine rounds of 2020-21.

The Braves will follow up the Hoosier Collegiate with the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan., Sept. 13 & 14.
