PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Softball will host the inaugural Bradley Softball Long Ball Derby Friday, Jan. 21 at the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex Slugger Dome announced by head coach Amy Hayes.

The fundraising event, which is open to the public and will begin at 1:30 p.m., will feature all 2022 Bradley Softball players and coaches swinging for the fences.  For those unable to attend in person, the Long Ball Derby will be streamed via YouTube (https://youtu.be/FAFiYp1v7cU).

Each participant is looking for sponsors for their longest hit out of ten swings.  The minimum pledge per contestant is 35¢/foot, with all proceeds directly benefiting Bradley Softball.  Distance accuracy will be aided by the LSSC HitTrax.

In addition, Bradley Softball is continuing memberships to the 220 Club. If Long Ball Derby sponsorships or flat pledge results in a $220 donation or higher, individuals will be added to the club and receive Bradley Softball swag plus access to the 220 Club Instagram page for all the behind-the-scenes scoop on Bradley Softball. Individuals will also gain the associated Braves Club membership benefits based on their giving level. If pledges do not reach $220 and sponsors would like access to the 220 Club, individuals can choose to supplement their donation with a flat gift to make up the difference.
