Match Recap: Women's Tennis | | Josh Schwam, Communications Student Assistant
CHICAGO, IL – Amid a shorthanded roster, Bradley Tennis fell on the road to Big East runner-up DePaul 4-0 Friday afternoon.

The Braves played from behind immediately by only having five players able to compete. BU forfeited No. 6 Singles and could not field a No. 3 Doubles tandem.

Kirstin Hailey proved the lone bright spot for the Braves. The freshman took the first set of her first career singles dual match, 6-4. The contest was halted at 3-3 in the second set when the Blue Demons clinched the match.

DePaul claimed the doubles point as well as victories at Nos. 3, 4 and 6 Singles to win the match.

Match Notes: BU falls to 3-5 in season openers under Head Coach Matt Tyler. Today marked the second consecutive year the Braves have fallen to DePaul in the season opener… The Blue Demons improve to 14-1 all-time against the Braves… Bozana Lojpur was competing at No. 1 Singles for the second time in her career and the first since another shorthanded road trip in the 2018-19 season.
