CHICAGO – Bradley senior guard Tatum Koenig shared game-high scoring honors with 15 points, but Loyola Chicago (13-10, 5-7 MVC) used a balanced attack to pull away for a 56-41 Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball victory Saturday afternoon at Gentile Arena.

Riley Blackwell came off the bench to match Koenig's effort, pacing the Ramblers with 15 points.  Although Riley was the only Loyola Chicago player to reach double figures, seven of her teammates each scored at least three points.  The Braves got 13 points from freshman guard Caroline Waite, but additional scoring from just three more players.

The teams combined to shoot just 7-for-28 (.250) from the field in the first quarter and only warmed a little in the second quarter with a combined 9-for-29 (.310) as the Ramblers took a 23-19 lead into the intermission.

The field goal shooting did not improve much in the second half, but while Loyola did manage to make 6-of-16 attempts in the third quarter, it was the home team's 8-for-8 effort from the free throw line that allowed the Ramblers take control.

Bradley was never able to find its shooting touch.  While Koenig (6-16) and Waite (4-12) combined to make 10-of-28 (.357) field goal attempts, the rest of the team managed to go just 5-for-31 (.161).  Loyola shot just 33.3 percent (19-57) from the field and 30.4 percent (7-23) from 3-point range, but the Ramblers were 11-for-11- from the free throw line.

The Braves will play three of their final five regular-season games at home, beginning with a Friday night clash against Valley rival Southern Illinois in a 6:30 p.m. tip at Renaissance Coliseum.
