PEORIA, IL – Junior forward Sierra Morrow scored a career-high 15 points to lead four Bradley players in double-figures, but Missouri State rode a strong close to the third quarter to a 72-56 Missouri Valley Conference women's basketball win Sunday afternoon at Renaissance Coliseum.

Triggered by a pair of Morrow 3-pointers early in the third quarter, Bradley closed a 13-point deficit to 40-36 when freshman Abbie Draper sank two free throws with 3:29 left in the period, but Missouri State answered with a 15-0 run to close the quarter, then pushed its lead to as many as 22 points midway through the fourth quarter.

Morrow added seven rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals to her effort Sunday.  Draper hipped in 13 points, while Caroline Waite added 12 and Tatum Koenig 10 for the Braves.  Missouri State got a game-high 19 points from Abigayle Jackson, plus four 14 from sixth-year senior guard Brice Calip and 11 from backcourt mate Sydney Wilson.

The Bears also got 24 points from its bench, compared to six from Bradley's reserves.

Although the Braves shot just 36.2 percent (17-47) from the field, Bradley was 9-for-22 (.409) from 3-point range.  Bradley limited Missouri State to 36.6 percent (26-71) field goal shooting, but the Bears turned 19 offensive rebounds into a 21-8 advantage in second-chance points.  Missouri State also converted 20 Bradley turnovers into a 20-5 advantage in points off turnovers.

Bradley will return to action by making its 2-game road trip to Iowa for games Friday at UNI and Sunday at Drake, before closing out the regular season at home March 5 against I-74 rival Illinois State.
