SERIES HISTORY vs. MURRAY STATE | LAST MEETING
  • The Braves and Racers have met eight times on the tennis court. Murray State has taken the last six contests and lead the all-time series 7-1.
  • Bradley dropped a 5-2 decision on January 25, 2020 to the Racers at The Clubs at River City.
  • Sunday will mark the last time the teams meet before Murray State joins the Missouri Valley Conference on July 1, 2022.
LONG WEEK
  • BU is playing four matches in six days.
  • The last time Bradley played at least four matches in six days or less was during the 2012-13 season, when the Braves played four matches in three days from March 15-17, 2013.
SPRING BREAK RECAP
  • Bradley picked up two wins in three matches over their spring break trip to Florida.
  • The Braves dropped the doubles point in two of the three matches, but went 10-6 (.625) in singles competition, including a 6-0 mark from Bozana Lojpur and Nikki Perlwitz.
HOME SWEET HOME
  • Bradley Tennis is 3-0 in the friendly confines of their home court this season.
  • Weather permitting, the Braves are set to play their first match at the David Markin Tennis Courts on the campus of Bradley University Sunday.
  • BU is 14-5 (.736) at the Markin Courts under Head Coach Matt Tyler, including a current three-match winning streak.
  • Overall, the Braves are 37-20 (.649) at home under Tyler.
TWO OF THE BEST TO EVER DO IT
  • Lojpur and Perlwitz shot up the Bradley Tennis record books this week.
  • Lojpur tied and took sole possession of fifth place in BU history in career singles wins; she is up to 62 as a Brave.
  • Perlwitz is not far behind. With 59 singles wins of her own, she sits in seventh place, two wins behind a tie for sixth place.
  • Perlwitz also picked up a milestone victory, achieving career combined win 100 earlier this week.
  • She is currently at 104 combined wins, good for ninth in program history.
  • With one win on Sunday, Lojpur will move into a tie for sixth place in BU history with 115 combined wins. With two wins against Murray State, she would take sole possession of sixth place.
  • Together, the pair sits in fourth place in program history with 39 doubles wins as a pair. They are three wins shy of three-way tie for second place.
VALLEY AWARD FAVORITES
  • Entering Sunday's match, Lojpur (No. 1) and Perlwitz (Nos. 5/6) are each 3-0 in singles competition this week.
  • Only one team in The Valley has played at least three matches in a week this season. The team lost two of the three and its No. 1 Singles player went winless.
  • Lojpur and Perlwitz are the only two singles players in the league to win at least three matches in a week this season. They have another opportunity to add to that tally on Sunday.
  • Similarly, in doubles, Lojpur and Perlwitz are 2-1 this week. No doubles pair in The Valley has won more than two matches in a week this season.
AWARDS GALORE
  • Bradley and Illinois State are tied for the league lead with five weekly honors from the league office.
  • Madalena Andrade/Kirstin Hailey have taken two Doubles Team of the Week awards for their efforts at the No. 1 spot, while Lojpur/Perlwitz earned one of their own at No. 3 Doubles.
  • Lojpur (No. 1) and Maria Bezmenova (No. 4) have each taken a Singles Player of the Week award.
  • Bradley won MVC weekly awards in four consecutive weeks from February 8 – March 1, tied for the longest streak in BU history.
  • Both BU and ISU have had one week without competition.
WINNING TRENDS
  • Bradley's No. 1's in singles and doubles have been key in BU victories.
  • BU only has one win in which the No. 1 Doubles team of Andrade/Hailey does not win.
  • The Braves have also only picked up one victory when the student-athlete patrolling No. 1 Singles is unable to win.
