SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Josh Kirkham didn't let the suspension of Monday's second round at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate get in the way of a career-best effort, with the junior carding four birdies in his final 10 holes Tuesday to finish off a round of four-under 67 as he tied for sixth and helped Bradley Men's Golf to a 14th-place team finish in the 16-team field.

Lightning in the Springfield, Mo., area Monday afternoon caused the suspension of the second round and shortening of the tournament to 36 holes.  Kirkham was already two-under through seven holes when play resumed Tuesday morning and he picked up right where he left off.  The junior recovered from a bogey to start the morning to birdie four of his final 10 holes as he carded a career-best four-under par 67 at the par-71 Twin Oaks Country Club.

Kirkham's second-round 67 was one shot off the school record (66), which has been posted six times by a Brave, and was the lowest round at Bradley dating back to a 67 by Drake Bushong at the Zach Johnson Invitational on Oct. 1, 2018.  The 67 also came on the heels of a first-round 72 as Kirkham tied for sixth in the field at three-under 139 for his second top-10 finish of the year.  His total is tied for the second-lowest 36-hole score in program history behind only a 138 by Danny Masrin at the Butler Fall Invite during the 2013-14 campaign.

As team, Bradley carded its lowest round of the year at 10-over 294 to finish 14th in the 16-team field at 27-over 595, for the ninth-best 36-hole team score in school history and best two-round performance by the Braves going back to the 2019 Twin Oaks Intercollegiate.

Bradley was three shots back of 13th-place Tennessee Tech (592) and four shots out of a two-way tie for 11th (591) between Loyola and Western Illinois.  The Braves were two shots better than 15th-place SIU Edwardsville (597) and finished seven shots ahead of 16th-place South Dakota (602).

Oral Roberts boasted the individual medalist in Dustin Hasley, who finished at seven-under 135 to help the Golden Eagles to the team crown at 15-under 553.  Valparaiso was second at eight-under 560 with Wichita State rounding out the top three at five-under 563.

Transfer Aaeri Krishnan closed out his lowest round of the spring with a four-over 75 in the second round and tied for 62nd overall at 10-over 152.  Junior Roy Radke was two back of Krishnan in a tie for 72nd at 154, matching his first round 77 in the second round.

Fellow junior Nick Armbrust tied for 76th at 155, closing out action with a second-round 80.  Sophomore Brady Kreiter rounded out the team scoring for the Braves by matching his low round of the season with a final-round 75 to tie for 82nd overall at 158.  Junior John Stillman was in the field as an individual and was 86th overall (160) after an 82 in the final round.

Bradley is back in action next week in Indianapolis, Ind., at the Butler Spring Invitational, which will be held Monday and Tuesday at the Highland Golf and Country Club.
