ST. LOUIS, MO – Bradley's No. 1 Doubles pair of Madalena Andrade/Kirstin Hailey have earned their third Missouri Valley Conference Doubles Team of the Week award of the season, according to an announcement from the league office Wednesday afternoon. It marks the most recognitions by a Bradley pair for a single season and career, as well as extending the BU program record with its fifth DTOTW honor this season.

Andrade/Hailey now hold the MVC lead for most DTOTW honors by a pair this season.

After earning the award in back-to-back weeks on February 15 and February 22, the duo earned their first Valley honor in league play. Andrade/Hailey are 2-1 at No. 1 Doubles in conference play, with both wins coming last week.

A 6-0 trouncing of UNI's No. 1 pair Lorena Cardoso/Darta Dalecka piloted Bradley to the doubles point against the Panthers en-route to a 5-2 match win. BU is 8-2 when they win the doubles point this season.

The following day, they downed Liza Petushkova/Daria Walczak of Drake at No. 1 Doubles, 6-2. Despite dropping the contest, 1-6, the win at No. 1 Doubles was significant as Drake will earn at least a share of the MVC regular season title.

The Bulldog tandem was coming off a victory against the reigning All-MVC pair at No. 1 Doubles; Tara Damnjanovic/Tijana Zlatanovic of Illinois State.

Andrade/Hailey broke a three-way tie for the most DTOTW awards by a pair in Braves history. The duo was tied with current teammates Bozana Lojpur/Nikki Perlwitz as well as Lojpur/Malini Wijesinghe, who each had two.

Hailey now ranks second for the most Valley weekly awards by a freshman in program history with three. She is behind Lojpur, who accomplished the feat in 2018-19, a year in which she was named MVC Freshman of the Year.

Bradley's fifth DTOTW honor this season extends a program record, which was broken by Lojpur/Perlwitz on March 22. In total, the Braves have eight awards from The Valley this season, the second most in a single season in program history with one week to play (10, 2018-19).

Lastly, BU's eight weekly awards from The Valley this season are second in the league, one behind Illinois State.

Bradley Tennis returns to action tomorrow, wrapping up the non-conference portion of its schedule with a road contest against the Saint Louis Billikens. The final home contest of the season will be held at the David Markin Tennis Courts on Saturday, April 16 against Valparaiso.
