Fuller's Record Triple Jump Highlights Redbird Challenge

NORMAL, IL – Freshman Shae Fuller set the school record in the Women's Triple Jump, one of 13 personal bests recorded by Bradley Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field student-athletes Saturday afternoon in the Redbird Challenge at Redbird Track and Field Complex.

Fuller was competing in the triple jump for the first time in her outdoor track career and she finished fourth in Saturday's Redbird Challenge by leaping to 36' 8 1/4" to surpass the previous best by a Brave, 35' 7 1/4" by Lara Wagy in 1986.

In addition to the list of personal bests, Will Smith won the Men's 800m Saturday, pacing three Braves among the event's top four in 1:54.86, while Brandon Kamp earned the 3,000m Steeplechase title with a personal-best time of 3:43.09.

After competing in three meets the last three days in California and Illinois, Bradley's Men's and Women's Track and Field teams are scheduled to return to action next weekend by competing Friday and Saturday in the Illini Invitational at the University of Illinois' Demirjan Park.
