Kirkham Tied For Ninth After Day Two At MVC Championship

PADUCAH, Ky. – Junior Josh Kirkham fired the low round of the day for Bradley Men's Golf during Monday's second-round action at the 2022 Missouri Valley Conference Championship with a two-over 74 and is tied for ninth, while the Braves are seventh in the field heading into Tuesday's final round.

Kirkham is tied for ninth overall at four-over 148 at the par-72 Country Club of Paducah after matching his first-round score from Sunday with another 74 during Monday's second round. He is two shots out of the top five and seven behind Missouri State's Max Kreikemeier, who leads the field at three-under 141.

Bradley slipped to seventh in the standings after shooting 313 Monday with the Braves closing the day at 620. Loyola has a four-shot advantage on Bradley in sixth at 616. Southern Illinois fired a three-under Monday and has a commanding 17-shot lead on the field at 580 with Valparaiso following in second (597). Illinois State, Drake and Missouri State are tied for third overall at 601. The Braves hold a one-shot edge on eight-place Evansville (621) and are five shots ahead of ninth-place Northern Iowa (625).

Junior Roy Radke is alone in 13^th at 149 after two rounds, carding a second-round 75 and sits one shot out of the top 10.

Fellow junior Nick Armbrust was two shots better Monday, posting an 83 to close the day at 168 in a tie for 42^nd.

Brady Kreiter replaced Aaeri Krishnan in the Bradley lineup to shoot an 81 Monday. Junior John Stillman rounded out the scoring for the Braves with a second-round 85 and is three shots ahead of Armbrust in 40^th at 165.

The final round of the 2022 MVC Championship tees off Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.
