CHESTERTON, Ind. – Senior Josh Kirkham is in contention for top honors at the Valpo Fall Invitational, closing Monday's action tied for third individually and Bradley Men's Golf was tied for seventh in the team standings when play was suspended late in the second round at the par-72 Sand Creek Country Club.

Action was suspended late in the second round due to darkness with eight of the 17 teams playing all 36 holes.  Bradley, which shot a 302 in the first round, had two individuals with one hole to play and three Braves have two holes remaining when play is scheduled to resume Tuesday morning.

Kirkham opened the day with a season-best three-under 69 in the first round for his fifth career sub-70 round, which is tied for the fifth most in school history.  In the second round, Kirkham was one-over through 16 holes and is currently tied for third overall on the leaderboard at two-under, two shots back of co-leaders of Anthony Delisanti and Caleb Van Arragon (-4).

As a team, Bradley is currently tied with Youngstown State for seventh at 20-over par.  Tournament-host Valparaiso leads the field at three-under with DePaul second at nine-over and the duo of Loyola and Cleveland State tied for third at +11.  The Braves sit eight shots back of fifth-place Purdue Fort Wayne (+12) and seven behind sixth-place Northern Kentucky (+13).  Bradley owns a four-shot edge on ninth-place Utah State (+24) and six-shot advantage on IUPUI and Missouri State, which sit in a tie for 10th at +26.

After a three-over 75 in the first round, freshman Connor Hamm was two-over in the second round with only one hole to go.  He is currently tied for 24th overall at five-over on the day, one shot out of the top 20.

Senior Roy Radke was also better in the afternoon, posting a six-over 78 in the first round.  Radke, who was one-over through 17 holes in the second round, is seven-over for the tournament and currently tied for 36th.

Transfer Luke Armbrust is tied for 58th overall at 10-over, rebounding from a first-round 80 to close the day at two-over through 16 holes in the second round.  Fellow senior John Stillman is three back of Armbrust at 13-over, closing the second round at four-over through 16 holes on the heels of a first-round 81.

Playing as individuals, junior Brady Kreiter was three shots better in the second round, finishing the day tied for 77th at 159 after rounds of 81 and 78.  Nick Armbrust carded matching 85's and is 96th overall at 170 to round action for the Braves.
