Josh Kirkham Named Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

PEORIA, Ill. – Senior men's golfer Josh Kirkham (Austin, Texas/Fenwick [Ill.]) has been named this week's Bradley Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week announced Thursday after tying for first at the Derek Dolenc Invitational.

Named the Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week, Kirkham shot a seven-under 206 at SIUE. He became the first Bradley golfer in school history to card two rounds of 67 or better at a single tournament with his round two score of 66 matching the BU record for 18 holes. Overall, he is the seventh Brave to post a 66 and the first since 2018. A finance major, Kirkham owns a 3.16 cumulative grade point average.

Each week, a student-athlete is selected as the Bradley Scholar-Athlete of the Week. The individual chosen must be at least a sophomore in academic standing and boast a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while displaying a level of athletic excellence.

Kirkham and the Braves return to action on Monday, Oct. 10, competing at Arkansas State's Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
