Peoria, Ill. -- The Bradley Track & Field team is back in action on Saturday as they travel to Iowa City for the Hawkeye Invite to kick off the New Year.

Last Time Out
The last time the Braves were in action was before the holiday season for the Windy City Invitational hosted by Chicago State. Bradley brought home three titles, two by
Ivan Westcott and one by
Amiyah Davis.
Hawkeye Invitational Itinerary
All 57 student-athletes are making the trip to Iowa City for the Hawkeye Invite. The event begins on Friday afternoon but the Braves will not begin until Saturday morning. The field events begin Saturday morning as
Shae Fuller will participate in the long jump event.
The men will compete in various running events which include the 60m, 200m, 600m, 1 mile, 3000m and the 4x400 relay race.
The women will compete in many of the same events but will also run the 200m, 400m and 800m races.
Other Schools Competing
Bradley joins Ball State, Missouri, Northern Iowa, Western Illinois and the host school Iowa as the other Division I schools competing in this week's event.
What To Watch For
On the men's side, watch for
Michael Rebello and
Charlie Parrish in the 1-mile race. Rebello was named All-Missouri Valley Conference last year in Track & Field while Parrish was named to the same honor in the last two years.
On the women's side, watch for
Sidney Martin,
Amiyah Davis,
Julia Nielsen and
Wilma Nielsen. Davis is coming off a good performance at the Windy City Invitational.
Julia Nielsen is a five-time Missouri Valley Conference Champion in four different events spanning the indoor and outdoor seasons.
Wilma Nielsen is the reigning Missouri Valley Conference Outdoor 1,500m Champion, as well as being named All-Missouri Valley Conference the last two years.
