Game Recap
The Bradley Braves earned their first win in Terre Haute, IN since 2018 coming off the back of an impressive second half which saw five Bradley Braves record double figure scoring. Malevy Leons and Darius Hannah were energy men early for Bradley. Hannah was given the nod to start for the first time since the return of Rienk Mast and it paid dividends for Bradley. Leons recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds on the night, along with Hannah chipping in a basket and a massive block despite battling foul trouble all game. Speaking of Rienk Mast, the Bradley big man recorded another stellar outing with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Mast was in groove early causing Robbie Avila to pick up two quick fouls in the first half and forcing Indiana State to go to their bench early. Mast having big games against Indiana is starting to become a theme as he has now recorded outings of 20pts, 12pts, 17pts, and 18pts in his last four contests against the Sycamores. Mast recorded his 16th career double-double and sits 16th all-time in Bradley history for all-time points/rebounds double-doubles. Bradley would trail for the remainder of the first half with a 39-34 deficit at halftime. The deficit wouldn't last long with the Braves regaining the lead with 13 minutes left off a 12-0 scoring run. Zek Montgomery was the X-factor for Bradley. The sophomore guard did not record a point in the first 20 minutes of the game but flipped the switch to record a career high 18 points in just a single half. Mongomery's previous career high of 12 points came against Loyola-Chicago in his freshman season. Indiana State would make a few late runs to close the gap to five points following a foul and technical foul on Bradley which gave Indiana State four free throws. As the game began to hang in the balance in the final few moments, Zek Montgomery would drill a massive three pointer with just over 90 seconds remaining to push the Bradley lead back to double digits. The lead would never waiver as the Bradley Braves closed out the game for an 11 point win.  What's Next?
