Peoria, Ill. -- Wilma Nielsen collects another school record in the Women's 1000m and the rest of the team wrapped up at the IU Relays.
Nielsen Adds Another
For the third straight week
Wilma Nielsen has collected a school record and now ranks second in NCAA history in the Women's 1000m event. With a time of 2:38.95, Nielsen just missed beating the best time in Sweden history at 2:38.11.
The second best time in NCAA history for the Women's 1000 was previously held by Kaela Edwards of Oklahoma State with a time of 2:40.79.
IU Relays Recap
Julia Nielsen and
Tiana LoStracco headlined the Women's 800m by taking first and second place in the event. Nielsen finished with the best time of 2:06.80 and LoStracco right behind Nielsen with a time of 2:07.14.
Nicola Jansen finished in fifth place in the Women's 3000m with a time of 9:29.015.
Sophia McDonnell also picked up a top 10 finish in the race after placing eighth with a time of 9:35.071.
George Watson picked up a top 10 finish in the Men's 3000m with an eighth place finish after a time of 8:05.439.
Amiyah Davis finished in the top 10 in the Women's 400m with a time of 58.07.
Leah Thames also collected a top 10 finish but in the Women's 200m with a time of 25.57.
