Women's Basketball Hitting the Road for SIU and Missouri State

Bradley Women's Basketball (3-10) heads on the road to face Southern Illinois (5-6) and Missouri State (7-4).
 
SCOUTING THE SALUKIS
The Salukis are led by Ashley Jones and Shemera Williams. Jones is averaging 15.3 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals per game so far this season. She shoots 42.6% from three and 72.1% from the free throw line. Williams averages 15.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 66.7% from three-points range. Down low, Saluki center Promise Taylor averages 10.1 points per game, also adding on 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 blocks. SIU is coming off a 60-58 win against Indiana State. SIU averages 75.2 points per game, shooting 41.6% from the field and 35.5% from three. Kelly Bond-White is in her first season as the head coach at SIU and previously spent 19 seasons with Texas A&M.
 
SCOUTING THE LADY BEARS
Missouri State is led by 5'7" senior Aniya Thomas. Thomas is averaging 13.4 points per game and 4.6 rebounds, also dishing out 4.6 assists and grabbing 2.5 steals per contest. Another Lady Bear to look out for is Sydney Wilson, a 5'11" senior guard. Wilson averages 11.0 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Wilson scored 17 and grabbed 7 rebounds in the team's most recent game against Evansville. Kennedy Taylor keeps the Lady Bears going in the post, scoring 9.6 points and bringing down 6.0 rebounds on average. Missouri State averages 63.4 points per game while their opponents average 64.2. On average, they shoot 38% on field goals and 26.6% from three. Beth Cunningham is the head coach for the Lady Bears and is in her first season with the team. Cunningham came to Missouri State after spending two seasons as an assistant Duke and eight seasons as an associate head coach at Notre Dame.
 
SCOUTING THE BRAVES
Bradley is coming off back-to-back losses against UNI and Drake to start conference play, leaving them at 3-10 on the year thus far. Alex Rouse led the Braves in scoring against UNI with 16, but Isis Fitch managed to grab her first career double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Rouse once again led the way for the Braves against Drake with 12 points, and Fitch and Caroline Waite both chipped in 11 points of their own. Fitch nearly snagged another double-double against Drake, only missing out by one rebound. Bradley shot 39.9% from the floor and 30% from three between the two games.
