Weekend Preview: Bradley at Roar City Invite

The Bradley softball team continues their season in Nashville, TN, at the Roar City Invite hosted by Tennessee State. 

The Braves will begin play on Friday with a doubleheader against North Alabama and Tennessee State with the first game beginning at 1:00 p.m.. Heading into Saturday, Bradley faces North Alabama at 10:00 a.m. and Alabama A&M at 2:00 p.m.. The team finishes up the weekend on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. with a game against Tennessee State. 

Bradley will be playing North Alabama and Alabama A&M for the first time in program history. The Braves have played Tennessee State four times since 2001 and are 4-0 against the Lady Tigers.

BRADLEY BRAVES
The Braves are coming off a 1-4 weekend at the New Mexico State Invitational after facing Colorado State and New Mexico State. A walk-off single from Angela Cirone got the Braves their first win of the season over Colorado State. With new Head Coach Sarah Willis, Preseason All-MVC player Abbott Badgley and Grace French leading the way, Bradley is looking to get back on track at the Roar City Invite.

The Lions finished second in the west division of the ASUN last year and are returning 12 letterwinners. UNA went 3-0 against Mississippi Valley State in its opening series and was picked to finish fifth in the ASUN this year.

The Bulldogs finished fifth in the East Division of the SWAC last year with a record of 16-24 overall and 10-14 in conference play. Alabama A&M's Allyson Riches was given First Team Honors in the SWAC. The Bulldogs went 2-1 at the River City Classic hosted by Alcorn State.
