Bradley Track & Field return after successful events in Raleigh and Charleston

Peoria, Ill. -- The Bradley Track & Field team finished competing at the Raleigh Relays and the EIU Big Blue Classic over the weekend. 

Two School Records Fall
Charlie Parrish made history on Thursday night when he broke the school record in the Men's 3000M Steeple race with a time of 8:49. Parrish previously sat fourth in those rankings but took down the previous record set by Chase Coffey in 2016. 

To start off the day on Friday in Raleigh, Tiana LoStracco broke the school record in the Women's 1500M with a time of 4:19.10. LoStracco had ranked third in the standings until her race on Friday evening when she broke the record set by Julia Nielsen last year. 

Raleigh Relays Recap
George Watson ran the second-fastest time in school history in the Men's 5K on Thursday at the Raleigh Relays. Watson finished with a time of 14:01.34. 

Ashley Maguire and Peyton Schieppe both ran in the Women's 5K and made the top-10 list for all-time in school history. Maguire's time of 16:28.59 is good enough for the sixth-best time in school history. Schieppe's time of 16:30.06 is good enough for the seventh-best time in school history. 

Matt Aho cracked the top 10 list in school history for the Men's 10000M at the Raleigh Relays with a time of 29:30.07. 

EIU Big Blue Classic Rundown
Brandon Kamp headlined the EIU Big Blue Classic for the Bradley Braves after he placed first in the Men's 3000M Steeple race with a time of 9:56.09, 15 seconds better than the second-place runner. 

Eli Rieker finished sixth in the Men's 100M dash with a time of 10.82 which is also a top four time in school history. 

Leah Thames finished third in the Women's 200M with a time of 25.21 which is also good for the sixth-fastest time in school history. 

Olivia Harp finished second in the Women's 1500M with a time of 4:42.48. 

Julia de la Piedra Sitjas finished third in the Women's 800M with a time of 2:22.63. 

Jada Vaughn finished eighth in the Women's 100M dash with a time of 13.06. 

Andriana Erotocritou finished eighth as well but in the Women's 400M with a time of 1:00.81.

Noah Costa collected a fourth-place finish in the Men's 800M with a time of 3:57.97. 

What's Coming Up?
The Braves head down I-74 this weekend to compete at the Redbird Challenge in Normal hosted by Illinois State.
