Peoria Ill. -- Bradley Softball Head Coach Sarah Willis announced a junior transfer to be added to the 2024 roster, Alyssa Mighell from Salt Lake City Community College.
"Alyssa brings a wealth of experience and competition to our program," said Coach Willis. "She has been a part of a nationally dominating junior college program where she excelled as a leader on and off the field."
At Salt Lake City CC, she earned Academic All-American honors twice. In her sophomore campaign, she collected First-Team All Conference honors. She also hit for the cycle twice and finished batting 37th in the country amongst junior colleges.
During her freshman season, she hit .400 with 20 RBI and six stolen bases in 40 games. In 49 games in her sophomore season, she hit .446 with 48 RBI and 17 stolen bags.
Alyssa was also selected for Team Australia twice. She has started in four national championships for Team Australia and took home gold all four times.
"Her competitive nature and natural instincts to lead are attributes our coaching staff was looking for as we begin to rebuild the program," exclaimed Willis. "I am excited about her approach to the game and athleticism on the field. Alyssa will undoubtedly push the program's standards of performance."
Alyssa represented Team Australia in the Canada Cup. She comes to Bradley with two years of eligibility.
