ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Jayde Rosslee and
Nadia Potgieter have been named Missouri Valley Conference Runners of the Week for Men's and Women's Cross Country, per the weekly MVC Cross Country Notebook released on Oct. 21.
Rosslee wins the men's honor after placing second out of 265 runners in the Men's 8K Red Race. The sophomore from South Africa ran the fastest Pink Classic time by a Bradley runner in program history, finishing the race in 23:46.08, 0.12 seconds faster than the previous program-best time. Rosslee paced the Braves to an eighth-place team finish out of 29 teams.
Potgieter wins the women's honor after placing second out of 259 runners in the Women's 6K Red Race. The junior, also from South Africa, ran the second-fastest 6K time in Bradley program history with a 20:20.92 and the second-fastest Pink Classic time by a Bradley runner in program history. Potgieter led the Braves to a third-place finish out of 32 teams, behind only Northwestern and Loyola-Chicago.
This is Rosslee's first Runner of the Week honor in Cross Country and Track & Field. Rosslee is the third Brave to win Men's Runner of the Week in 2024, joining
Michael Rebello (Sept. 23) and
Jack Crull (Sept. 3). This is Potgieter's first Runner of the Week honor in Cross Country and Track & Field. Potgieter is the first Brave to win MVC Women's Runner of the Week since Nicola Jansen won the award on Oct. 20, 2022.
