PEORIA, Ill. -- The NCAA released the latest Division I Graduation Success Rate (GSR) data today, with a new record set by Bradley University.
Bradley Athletics combined for a 97 percent GSR to set a new mark for the highest-ever rate for the Braves, up from 96 percent last year. Bradley tied for the top GSR in the Missouri Valley Conference with Belmont and Evansville.
Ten of Bradley's 15 teams (Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Women's Cross Country, Women's Indoor Track, Women's Outdoor Track, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Softball, Women's Tennis and Volleyball) boasted 100 percent Graduation Success Rates in the most recent cohort according to the NCAA release. Overall, every Bradley program exceeded the national average for their respective sport with every team owning a 93 percent or better GSR.
The latest GSR includes all student-athletes who entered Bradley as freshmen between 2014 and 2017 and earned their degree within six years.
The GSR formula removes from the federal rate student-athletes who leave school while academically eligible and includes student-athletes who enroll midyear or transfer into a school after initially enrolling elsewhere. This calculation makes it a more complete and accurate look at student-athlete success.
