PEORIA, Ill -- Sophomore
Jayde Rosslee of the men's cross country team is the October Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.
Rosslee set a then-new school record in the men's 8K race on Oct. 4 at the Joe Piane Invitational at Notre Dame. Rosslee completed the race in 23:30.2, 16 seconds faster than the previous record. Two weeks later, Rosslee finished second in the Men's 8K Red Race at the Bradley Pink Classic, setting a program record for the quickest 8K by a Brave in a Pink Classic. Rosslee's runner-up finish earned him his first MVC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award on Oct. 21.
Rosslee earned the Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. He collected 43 percent of the vote to beat out Maria Drapp of the volleyball (35.4 percent), Jillian Cosler of the women's golf team (20.3 percent) and Drew Berry of the men's soccer team (1.3 percent).
