ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Bradley Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach
Andrew Carlson has been named 2024 Missouri Valley Conference Men's and Women's Cross Country Coach of the Year, per a release from The Valley on Friday.
Carlson was named 2024 MVC Coach of the Year after a strong 2024 regular season from the Bradley Cross Country teams, culminating in the 13th and 14th MVC Cross Country Championships for Bradley and the first team title sweep of the MVC Championships since 2022. In the 2024 season, Bradley has won six team titles (three men's, three women's), including the 2024 MVC Championships. This season, Bradley runners have won three individual titles and earned seven All-MVC selections, three All-MVC Honorable Mentions, both Men's and Women's MVC Freshman of the Year awards and five MVC Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team selections.
Carlson is the first MVC head coach to win both the men's and women's Coach of the Year awards in the same year since Darren Gauson won the awards when coaching Bradley in 2022. He is also only the sixth coach to win the awards in the same year since 2000 in MVC history.
Bradley returns to the course next Friday, November 15, for the NCAA Midwest Regional at Newman Golf Course in Peoria.
