PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University women's basketball athlete Claire McDougall has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. McDougall was honored after tallying 11 points and nine rebounds in Bradley's conference opener against Belmont.

The sophomore from Washington, Illinois, scored 11 points and tallied a season-high nine rebounds in Bradley's first Missouri Valley Conference game of the season. McDougall led the Braves in rebounds with nine and in made free throws with six. McDougall also tallied two steals, two assists and made her only three-point attempt.

McDougall's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
