David Hemery Valentine Invitational Recap
In a split weekend, half of the Braves made their way to Boston to participate in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
For the first time in Bradley history, Jack Crull clocked in a sub-four minute mile with a time of 3:59.14.
In addition to that, Michael Rebello set the school record in the men's 500m with a time of 13:58.42.
Julia Nielsen led the Braves in the women's 800m with a time of 2:04.58 and notching herself the second best time in Braves history. Not far behind her, Lena Stolla recorded the sixth best time in Braves history with a time of 2:10.41.
Trixie Wraith continues her success this season in the women's mile by recording her personal best and the third best time in Bradley history with a time of 4:43.85. Abi Hancock also recorded her personal best time in the women's mile with a time of 4:46.00, which puts her in sixth place in Bradley history.
In the women's 3000m, Nadia Potgieter set the second fastest time in Braves history with a time of 9:21.62 to close out the Braves successful weekend in Boston.
GVSU Big Meet Recap
The other half of the Braves made the trip to Grand Valley State University in Michigan to take part in the GVSU Big Meet, where yet more records were broken.
Eli Rieker broke the Bradley record for the men's 60m with a time of 6.80, etching himself yet another school record.
In the men's 800m, Jaxson Copelin recorded the third best time in Bradley history with a time of 1:51.15.
Coming Up…
The Braves will head back to Iowa City to participate in the Iowa Open hosted by the University of Iowa on Feb. 17th.
