PEORIA, Ill. – The Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 was honored this past weekend.

During the Men's Basketball game against Illinois State, all of the 2024 Hall of Fame inductees were honored for their contributions to Bradley Athletics. The Bradley Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 was completed when the 2005-06-07 Men's Soccer Teams, longtime coach and staff member Craig Dahlquist, record-setting runner Mary Goldkamp-Doerr, NBA Lottery pick Patrick O'Bryant and Women's Basketball star Katie Yohn were inducted last Saturday night. Former baseball standout and Major League Baseball player Mike Tauchman was honored on Jan. 20 at the Men's Basketball game.

2005-06-07 Soccer Teams

The 2005, 2006 and 2007 Soccer teams, coached by Jim DeRose, featured rosters that largely overlapped during a three-year run in which the Braves captured three consecutive Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles and the first MVC Tournament crown (2007) in program history. The Braves went 39-20-9 (.654) in that span, including a 13-2-4 (.789) conference record.

The 2005 squad won the MVC regular-season championship outright and earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. In 2006, the team shared the regular-season championship with Creighton, earning a share of the title after defeating the #15 Bluejays, 2-1, in the regular-season finale at Shea Stadium. The Braves came within 4.4 seconds of claiming a 1-0 win against Creighton in the MVC Tourney championship game, before falling in overtime.

The 2007 squad overcame the tragic passing of team member Danny Dahlquist to post the most successful competitive season in program history, exorcizing the 2006 MVC Tourney loss to Creighton with a last-minute win against the Bluejays in Omaha for the title, then advancing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. After a 2-0 win against DePaul in the first round at Shea Stadium, the Braves knocked off 2004 national champion Indiana in penalty kicks then delivered the "Miracle at Maryland" by overcoming a 2-0 deficit in the final two-and-a-half minutes of regulation to earn a 3-2, double-overtime win at 2005 national champion Maryland to punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight.

The rosters of the three teams include 26 student-athletes who appeared on at least two of the three championship teams, including 10 who suited up for all three squads. Current Bradley Hall of Famers Joe Donoho and Chris Dunsheath were part of at least one of the squads.

In addition to the 2006 Defensive Player of the Year, O'Bryant's list of conference awards include 2006 All-MVC second team, 2005 MVC All-Newcomer Team, 2005 MVC All-Freshman Team and 2006 MVC All-Tournament Team.

O'Bryant ranks third in program history by making 55.4 percent of his career field goal attempts and fourth in program history with 147 career blocked shots.
