Box Score 2 BLOOMINGTON, Ill.– After a rain delay pushed Tuesday's game to a Wednesday doubleheader, Illinois State took both games against the Braves.
Game One
The Braves and Redbirds remained scoreless after 3 innings of play, when Illinois State got on the board in the bottom of the 4th inning.
The Braves responded with a 4-run top of the 5th inning, prompted by Jordy van der Werf with her first HR of the season.
Bailey Sample continued the action with a 2-run RBI double to push the Braves up 4-1.
Sydney Kennedy took the loss for the Braves, while recording 4 strikeouts in 6.1 innings pitched.
Game Two
Illinois State found the bats early, while recording 7 runs against the Braves.
Addison Pettit recorded the lone RBI for the Braves 5th inning, scoring Macey Moore.
