PEORIA, Ill. – Get to know more about Bradley Tennis player Alexandra Hildreth.

Hildreth, originally from Hertfordshire, U.K., transferred in from Dixie State (now Utah Tech) last season after spending three years there.
Hildreth began playing tennis at about seven years old, thanks in part to her aunt who was a star tennis player and played at Kansas State in the U.S.
"I started playing at seven. My aunt came to America, played at Kansas State, and it was always my dream to follow her and do the same," said Hildreth.
After growing up in the U.K. and playing tennis throughout her life, Hildreth decided to play college tennis at Utah Tech.
During her three years at Utah Tech, Hildreth played at the top of the courts, playing her first two years on the second court and primarily playing on court one in her junior year.
"I spent my first three years in Utah, so I went from England to Utah and then decided to enter the transfer portal," said Hildreth.
Alexandra was one of at least 246 student-athletes in the NCAA transfer portal for women's tennis. After talking with several coaches, she decided on Bradley after discussions with
Head Coach Matt Tyler.
"I was speaking to a lot of coaches, and Coach Tyler just caught my attention. I really liked him and how he wanted to teach the program, so I decided to move from Utah to here," said
Hildreth.

Although she's spent a limited amount of time in Peoria, Alex believes the best part of her Bradley experience has been her bond with her teammates.
"The team atmosphere is great. We're all so close; we all want each other to win and push each other to do that. I think the main thing I love is the team and how close we are," said
Hildreth.
Head Coach Matt Tyler praised Hildreth for her leadership qualities and positive attitude.
"First and foremost, she brings a lot of leadership being a fifth year, but she did that straight away. She always has a positive attitude day in and day out. She's always got a smile on her
face and works hard every day. She's someone we really lean on to lift us up as a team," said Coach Tyler.
After graduating, Hildreth hopes to pursue a career in law enforcement, particularly with the FBI.
"My dream job is actually to become an FBI agent in the States," said Hildreth.
