St. Louis, Mo. – The Missouri Valley Conference announced the 2023-24 season awards on Thursday night before the MVC Tournament begins on Friday. Bradley was very well represented with three players appearing on the 2nd team all-scholar, and the honorable mention all-scholar.
Anna Belogliadova (4.0) and Alexandra Hildreth (4.0) were both on the 2nd team scholar-athlete and Maria Bezmenova (3.55) was on the Honorable Mention Scholar Athlete.
Anna Belogliadova is a sophomore from St. Petersberg Russia played mainly on court two this season for the Braves. Alexandra Hildreth a graduate student from from Tring, Hertfordshire United Kingdom played on courts five and six this year. Maria Bezmenova is a Senior from Tomsk Russia played on court one this season.
The criteria for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team voting parallels the CSC (College Sports Communicators) standards for Academic All-America nominations. Student-Athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and must be enrolled at their institution at the time of nomination either as undergraduates or graduate students. An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don't have an established graduate GPA.
