Box Score 3 NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Braves dropped their final away series of the season to the Belmont Bruins.
Game 1
The Braves rallied in the third inning to take the first game of the series.
Bailey Sample reached on an error to score the first run for Bradley. Immediately after, Lauren DeRolf scored on a wild pitch. The Braves capitalized on the Bruins' miscues, and Sydney Kennedy reached on an error to score Sample.
Austin Comstock, as a pinch hitter in the sixth inning, extended the lead for the Braves with an RBI single.
To close out the game, Sample crossed the plate again on a sacrifice fly by Kierston McCoy.
Sydney Kennedy pitched the entire game for the Braves, recording five strikeouts and allowing only two earned runs over seven innings.
The Braves won the game, 6-3.
Game 2
In a defensive battle, both teams' bats were quiet until Addie Welsh opened up the scoring with her first home run of the season.
The Braves' defense was perfect, with both teams recording three hits each.
Camryn Schaller pitched six innings, allowing only one hit and striking out five. Abbott Badgley came into the game in relief and suffered the loss.
Game 3
To close out the series, the Bruins and Braves went to extra innings to determine the series winner.
The Braves' bats were unable to produce a run throughout the game.
Sydney Kennedy suffered the loss for Bradley, pitching 8.1 innings and allowing only one run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
