Peoria, IL. -- Bradley Women's Basketball Introduces Two New Assistant Coaches

Stephanie Miller and JerShon Cobb join the Bradley Women's Basketball staff as assistant coaches. Kate Popovec-Goss says of Stephanie Miller, "I am thrilled to welcome Coach Miller to the Hilltop! In this hire, I was looking for someone who had been a head coach and won at a high level. It was evident as I spoke to Coach Miller that her knowledge of the game is strong, but her passion for relationships and culture is stronger. Her experiences both as a coach and an administrator will be tremendous assets for our program, and I'm ecstatic she is joining our family."

Miller, a graduate of Michigan State University, has spent the last 13 years as the Women's Basketball Head Coach at Goshen College. During her time in that role, she led them to the NAIA National Semifinals in 2016, guided the team to its second-ever national tournament bid in 2015-16, became the first coach in the history of Goshen College to win a national tournament game in any sport, and was named the 2016 Crossroads League Coach of the Year.

Miller expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "I am so grateful for this exciting opportunity to join the Bradley Braves family. I want to extend my sincere thanks to Coach Popovec, Vice President Chris Reynolds, Deputy AD Brad Chandler, and SWA Jennifer Jones for all believing that I am the right fit to help support the Bradley Women's Basketball program. I look forward to jumping right in and joining this enthusiastic team of coaches in building a competitive, inspiring culture that the campus and community will rally around. The passion and vision of this staff is something that I believe in, and I am excited to join Bradley University and represent this institution with tremendous pride."

On JerShon Cobb, Kate Popovec-Goss says, "JerShon is a great fit to finalize our coaching staff! I've known JerShon since we both competed at Northwestern, and I have been able to watch him grow in his career. He was a tremendous athlete at the collegiate and professional level, and he has a strong passion for player development. More importantly, I've watched JerShon build trusted relationships with teammates and players since I've known him. He will be a great addition to the Hilltop!"

Cobb has been an Assistant Coach at Loyola University Maryland since 2022 and served as Director of Player Development at Northwestern University from 2018 to 2022. He was on the NCAA Sub-Committee at Northwestern University and was an assistant coach with the Atlanta Xpress AAU Program after ending his professional career in the Canadian Basketball League.

Cobb shared his excitement, stating, "I am really excited to become a Brave! I've known Coach Pop since we played at Northwestern, and we both used to talk about our goals to coach. It's awesome that it has come full circle, and I get to join this great program. I believe in the vision and direction of the program, and the values of Bradley resonate with me personally and professionally. I look forward to helping shape winning athletes, students, and young women. Thanks to Coach Pop, Dr. Reynolds, Jen Jones, and Brad Chandler for giving me an opportunity to join the family. Go Braves!"
