PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Cross Country and Track & Field Head Coach Andrew Carlson is pleased to announce the addition of Cody Roder to the Track & Field coaching staff. Roder joins the staff as an Assistant Track & Field coach, focusing on Sprints and Jumps.
"I am thrilled to have Coach Roder working directly with our sprints and jumps group," said Coach Carlson. "Having been a part of the NDSU program as both an athlete and a coach, Coach Roder brings a championship mindset that is built upon achieving excellence daily. I am looking forward to him bringing those attributes to our team here on the Hilltop."
Coach Cody Roder joins Bradley Track and Field from North Dakota State University where he was a volunteer assistant coach after completing his collegiate career for the Bison in 2022. Over the past two seasons, Coach Roder has worked with the sprints/hurdles group at NDSU working with Coaches Stevie Keller and Reece Vega. NDSU in 2023 had the #10 Women's 100M Hurdle group and #11 400M Hurdle group in the NCAA.
Roder wrapped up his time with the Bison as the best 400m runner in school history. He advanced to the national quarterfinals in the 400m dash with a personal and school record of 46.18 in 2022, and he owns the three fastest 400m dash times in NDSU history – 46.18, 46.22, and 46.27.
Roder earned honorable mention All-America honors in the 4x400m relay as a senior in 2022, anchoring the Bison to 18th place at the national meet in a school record 3:05.24. He clocked a career-best split of 45.13 at the NCAA Championships.
