Women's Golf Looks to Defend Redbird Invitational Crown in Bloomington

PEORIA, Ill. -- The Bradley Braves take a short trip up to Normal, Illinois to defend their crown against 13 teams at the Redbird Invitational.

This Sunday, the Braves travel up to Normal, IL. to take on the 14-team field at the Redbird Invitational.  The Braves are making the drive as returning champs, dominating the field last year and setting a new school record, as the team golfed a program-low 865, shattering the old record of 876.  

This year's competition will be fierce as this year's edition includes 14 teams from throughout the Midwest and both Division 1 and Division 3 schools.  This includes the host Illinois State Redbirds as well as conference foes Drake, Evansville, Northern Iowa, Indiana State and Valparaiso. Illinois Wesleyan, Butler, IU Indianapolis, Little Rock, Loyola (Chicago), Northern Illinois and South Dakota round out the field.

The Braves lineup for the tournament will consist of:

3. Allison Pacocha
4. Maria Perakis
5. Kathryn McNease
Peyton Coburn - Registered as Individual
Alyssa Mixon - Registered as Individual
Brooke Deebs - Registered as Individual

LAST TIME OUT
The Braves enter the Redbird Invitational with a team and individual victory to their name. The Braves won the team title at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational on Sept. 1-2 with Caroline McConnell taking the individual title after five playoff holes, becoming the first Brave since Jil Swenson in 2000 to win an individual title in their first meet as a Brave.

COMING UP...
After the Redbird Invitational, the Braves will travel to Columbia, Mo., for the Johnie Imes Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri, on Sept. 23-24.
