PEORIA, Ill. -- Sophomore Claire McDougall of the women's basketball team is the December Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.

McDougall notched three double-digit scoring performances during the month of December and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds against Belmont on Dec. 29. McDougall also had two-steal performances against Bethune-Cookman and Stetson at the Hatter Classic in DeLand, Fla. McDougall shot over 50 percent in all shooting percentages, shooting 53.6 percent from the field, 54.5 percent from three-point range and 91.7 percent from the free-throw line.
 
McDougall earned the Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. She collected 64.6 percent of the vote to beat out Soleil Barnes of the women's basketball team (12.5 percent), Duke Deen of the men's basketball team (12.5 percent) and Zek Montgomery of the men's basketball team (10.4 percent).
