PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University cross country athlete Kaitlyn Sheppard has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Sheppard was honored after placing second in the Women's 6K Red Race at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, Oct. 17.

The senior from England finished runner-up at Newman Golf Course with a time of 20:27.86, good for the third-fastest time by a Brave in Pink Classic history. Sheppard paced the Braves to their first Pink Classic team title since 2018 and second overall.

Sheppard's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
