PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University women's basketball athlete Maya Foz has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Foz was honored after scoring 14 points with six rebounds in Bradley's Field Trip Day win over South Dakota.

The freshman from Ontario, Canada, shot five-for-nine from the field and led all scorers with 14 points on Wednesday, Dec. 10 against South Dakota. Foz also made a three pointer and went 3-4 from the free-throw line. Foz also contributed six rebounds and forced two steals in just 26 minutes played. Foz's performance garnered her third Missouri Valley Conference Freshman of the Week award of the season.

Foz's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
