PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University men's basketball athlete Jaquan Johnson has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Johnson was honored after scoring 20 points in both of Bradley's conference victories against Indiana State and Southern Illinois. 

The sophomore from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, totaled 40 points during the week's MVC games, going 11-for-23 from the field and 16-for-20 from the free throw line. The games were Johnson's fifth and sixth 20-point games of the season. He also contributed eight assists offensively and eight steals defensively across the games. His eight steals rose his NCAA-leading total to 47 through 13 games.

Johnson's strong performance and academic success have earned him this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
