Peoria, Ill. - Bradley Women's Basketball dropped the third game of the road trip to the Evansville Purple Aces 55-45 on Thursday.
A Competitive Start
The Braves and Purple Aces went back and forth throughout the first half with Evansville leading 16-15 after the first quarter. A late tip-in by Soleil Barnes gave Bradley a one-point lead heading into halftime. The lead changed five times throughout the first half with Evansville holding a six-point lead at one point in the first quarter.
Standout Performances for Bradley

Ellie McDermid put up her second double-double in her collegiate career. She scored 11 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while totaling three assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Soleil Barnes had another double-digit effort, scoring 16 points while grabbing four boards. She also had three steals and an assist.
Foul Trouble
The Braves found themselves in trouble with Ruba Abo Hashesh and Claire McDougall fouling out within the last few minutes of the game while McDermid had four. Bradley had 20 total fouls and sent the Purple Aces to the line for 27 total free throws in which they made 16.
Tough Turnovers
The Braves had another rough game at maintaining control of the ball, giving the ball up 27 times to Evansville's 19 turnovers. The Purple Aces made Bradley pay by scoring 19 points from the Braves' turnovers.
