Peoria, Ill. - Bradley Women's Basketball ends their road trip on a high note by beating the Indiana State Sycamores 56-54.
A Close Start
The Braves and Sycamores kept it close throughout the first half with Bradley going on a nine-point run at the end of the first and start of the second to take a lead that they didn't give up for the rest of the half.
Standout Performances for Bradley

Amy O'Hara had a very strong defensive game, totaling six points, a team-leading eight rebounds, and four assists while blocking three Sycamore shots. O'Hara efforts earned her the title of Ameren Illinois Player of the Game.

Soleil Barnes had another solid game, scoring 11 points, grabbing five boards, and getting one assist. Barnes also had a late layup in the fourth that gave the Braves the lead that they didn't give up for the rest of the game.
Help from the Bench
The Braves had a bit of help from their bench in this one with Ruba Abo Hashesh scoring eight points with a rebound and an assist. Tamia Perryman also scored four points while grabbing six boards without turning the ball over once.
The Battle in the Paint
The Braves and the Sycamores went blow for blow when scoring in the paint with Indiana State scoring 30 to Bradley's 24. Both teams moved the ball effectively to get the ball in deep to keep this back-and-forth battle close.
