Peoria, Ill. - Bradley Women's Basketball dropped the first game of their homestand to the Murray State Racers on Thursday.
A Hot Start
The Braves started the game strongly, leading the Racers 12-8 late in the first quarter. However, Bradley struggled in the second quarter as they were trailing 36-23 at the end of the first half.
Standout Performances for Bradley

Tamia Perryman had a great game. She scored 16 points, grabbed two rebounds, and had three assists, earning her the Ameren Illinois Player of the Game award.

Amy O'Hara has been strong since returning to the lineup. In the game against the Racers, she had nine points, grabbed five boards, and had two assists.
Controlling Rebounds
The Braves struggled to maintain possession of rebounds as Murray State out-rebounded Bradley 42-31. Despite this, the Braves were able to hold Murray State to just seven second-chance points.
The Battle in the Paint
The Braves and the Racers both found success in the paint, but Bradley won the battle, scoring 30 points in deep compared to the Racers' 26 points.
