Soleil Barnes of the women's basketball team and graduate senior
Connor Dillon of the men's basketball team are the January Prairie Farms Bradley Co-Athletes of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.
Barnes scored at least 10 points in seven of eight January games, including 20 or more in three games. She made five or more field goals in six games and connected on a career-high seven three-pointers on Jan. 10 against Drake. Entering February, Barnes leads or is second on the team in three-point percentage, points per game, assists, rebounds and steals.
Dillon scored a season-high 20 points and tallied multiple other season-best numbers against Indiana State on Jan. 15, including made field goals (six), made three-pointers (five), rebounds (five) and steals (five). Dillon shot 62.5 percent from the field in January and shot 47.1 percent from three-point range. Appearing off of the bench, Dillon also made at least one field goal in seven of his nine appearances.
Barnes and Dillon earned the Prairie Farms Co-Athletes of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. Both athletes each collected 33.3 percent of the vote to beat out
Tamia Perryman of the women's basketball team (16.7 percent) and
Christian Davis of the men's basketball team (16.7 percent).
