Peoria, Ill. - Bradley Women's Basketball's MVC Championship run ended in the quarterfinals with an 86-50 loss to the Murray State Racers.
A Tough Start
Murray State and Bradley exchanged early two-pointers before the Racers went on a 12-point run to lead the Braves 14-2. The Braves fought to get back into the game, but Murray State continued to pull away, taking a 29-16 lead into the second quarter. In the second quarter, Murray State continued to show how they scored the most points in the MVC during the regular season, extending their lead to 49-29 at halftime.
Standout Performances for Bradley

Soleil Barnes finished out her impressive senior year with another great game. She scored 14 points, grabbed three rebounds, and had two assists, a block, and a steal.

Ellie McDermid ended her freshman campaign with another solid performance on both sides of the court, scoring nine points, grabbing eight rebounds, totaling two assists, a block, and two steals.
A Back-and-Forth Third Quarter
The Braves and Racers went back-and-forth throughout the third quarter, but Bradley could not make up any ground in their 20-point deficit. As a result, they went into the fourth quarter trailing 63-42. Murray State put the game out of reach in the final 10 minutes, scoring 23 points to win 86-50.
Foul Trouble
The Braves ran into foul trouble towards the end of the game as Barnes fouled out with just under five minutes remaining. Murray State also had more chances from the free-throw line as they went 10-for-13 while the Braves scored on each of their five free-throw attempts.
