PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University men's basketball athlete Corey Thomas has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Thomas was honored after scoring a Bradley-career-high 21 points and grabbing 11 rebounds against George Mason in round two of the NIT on March 22.

The junior from Buford, Georgia, tallied 21 points and 11 rebounds in 27 minutes at George Mason for his first double-double as a Brave. Thomas went seven-for-10 from the field and three-of-five from three-point range, setting a season high in made field goals and a career high in made three-pointers. 

Thomas' strong performance and academic success have earned him this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
