PEORIA, Ill. -- Senior Bailey Sample of the softball team is the February Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.

Sample leads the Braves in multiple offensive categories in 2025, including batting average (.324), on-base percentage (.477), slugging (.559) and OPS (1.036). She also is one of three Braves to have two or more home runs on the season. Sample went seven-for-11 at the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Classic on Feb. 23-24, reaching base 11 times in 15 plate appearances. She reached base in all seven plate appearances across two games on Feb. 24 with four hits and three walks.
 
Sample earned the Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. She collected 73.5 percent of the vote to beat out Almar Atlason of the men's basketball team (14.7 percent), Jack Crull of the men's track & field team (5.9 percent) and Bobby Atkinson of the baseball team (5.9 percent).
