PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley University softball athlete Olivia Turner has been named this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete of the Week, announced Tuesday. Turner was honored after tallying seven hits in 13 at-bats with two RBI across four games against Illinois State and Northern Iowa.

The freshman from Grass Lake, Michigan, tallied three multi-hit games over the last week. Turner tallied two hits in a midweek conference matchup against Illinois State, a career-high three hits in game two of a doubleheader against Northern Iowa and two more hits in the rubber match in Cedar Falls. Turner's strong hitting elevated her season average to .286, the third-best among qualifying Bradley hitters. Turner also tallied a pair of runs batted in during the week.

Turner's strong performance and academic success have earned her this week's Busey Bank Scholar-Athlete honor.
