ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Mariia Pukhina and
Ruby Tseng have received All-Conference First Team honors from the Missouri Valley Conference for their play during the 2024-25 season, per the All-Conference release from The Valley on Wednesday.
Pukhina earns the All-Conference First Team selection for No. 2 Singles after accruing a 7-1 conference record in singles action, all on court two. Pukhina also went 4-4 individually in conference doubles play. Pukhina's 11 combined conference wins are the most by a Brave in program history. She also accrued 12 victories on the season on court two, the fourth-most in a season in Bradley history. Overall, Pukhina led the Braves in singles (17), doubles (nine) and overall victories (26) throughout the 2024-25 season.
Tseng earns the All-Conference First Team selection for No. 3 Singles after finishing the conference season at 6-2, all on court three. Her six conference singles wins are tied for the second-most in program history. Tseng accrued 15 singles wins across the 2024-25 season, the most by a freshman since
Andra Sirbu accrued 18 singles wins in the 2023-24 season. Tseng is the first freshman to be an All-Conference First Team selection since Bozana Lojpur earned the honor for No. 2 singles in 2019.
Pukhina and Tseng's All-Conference First Team selections are the first top-team selection for a Brave since Nikki Perlwitz earned All-MVC honors in No. 6 Singles. This is the first time multiple Braves have been selected to the All-Conference First Team since 2019. Bozana Lojpur (No. 2) and Natalia Barbery (No. 4) earned All-Conference honors in singles action and the pairings of Barbery/Sandra Maletin (No. 1) and Lindsay Haight/Malini Wijesinghe (No. 3) earned All-Conference honors in doubles action in that season.
