PEORIA, Ill. -- Bradley Baseball senior Timmy O'Brien has been named as a recipient of the 2025 Spring Missouri Valley Conference State Farm Good Neighbor Award as MVC Commissioner Jeff Jackson announced the 12 honorees on Tuesday.

O'Brien was honored for his outstanding leadership, service, and academic excellence. Academically, O'Brien holds a 3.84 cumulative GPA in Mechanical Engineering while balancing the rigorous demands of a Division I student-athlete. On the field, he currently leads the Missouri Valley Conference with 14 home runs this season, serving as a cornerstone of the Braves' baseball program over his four-year career.

Beyond his athletic and academic success, O'Brien has made a lasting impact in the community. A driving force behind Bradley Baseball's partnership with the VS Cancer Foundation, O'Brien helped lead fundraising efforts that have generated over $125,000 for pediatric brain tumor research during his time at Bradley. Known for mentoring teammates, volunteering around campus, and consistently putting others first, he embodies the spirit of service the Good Neighbor Award celebrates.

In order to be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must be in good academic standing, must demonstrate good citizenship through good sportsmanship and significant community service, and must participate in a sport during the season of recognition.
