PEORIA, Ill. -- Junior Kierston McCoy of the softball team is the March Prairie Farms Bradley Athlete of the Month, earning the honor after a fan vote.

McCoy hit .333 during March and tallied seven multi-hit games during the month. McCoy tallied two RBI on five separate occasions and hit a season-best two extra base hits at Murray State on March 14. McCoy entered April leading all qualified hitters in multiple offensive categories, including batting average, extra-base hits and on-base plus slugging percentage.
 
McCoy earned the Prairie Farms Athlete of the Month accolade after a fan vote on the school's X account. She collected 73.3 percent of the vote to beat out Corey Thomas of the men's basketball team (23.3 percent), Amy O'Hara of the women's basketball team (3.3 percent) and Olivia Turner of the softball team.
