ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- Jayde Rosslee was named 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Men's Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year, one of six Braves earning a spot on the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team, per a release from The Valley on Thursday.
Rosslee, a construction major with a 3.56 cumulative grade point average, was an MVC Champion in the men's 5000m at both the Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Rosslee also brought home third place in the men's 3000m event at the Indoor Championships. Rosslee is the first Brave to win Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year since George Watson earned Men's Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 2023.

Trixie Wraith were named to the Women's Track & Field Scholar-Athlete team. This is the second consecutive Track & Field Scholar-Athlete Team selection for Hancock. Rosslee, O'Laughlin, Potgieter, Thornley and Wraith each earn their first Track & Field Scholar-Athlete honor. Rosslee, Potgieter and Hancock all earn their second All-MVC Scholar-Athlete honor of the season as each received Scholar-Athlete honors in cross country in Fall 2024.
To qualify for the MVC Scholar Athlete team, student-athletes must place in the top eight in any individual event or top three in a relay event at either MVC Track & Field Championship, be at least a sophomore in academic and athletic standing and hold a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average.
